Reasons to Consider Giving to the Earl Grey Playground Revitalization Project

The playground will be helpful for the development of ALL the children who use it, regardless of whether they are from Earl Grey families, the surrounding community, or from across the city.

A playground is an excellent amenity and social meeting place for a neighbourhood. Friendliness, social cohesion, social emotional learning, outdoor activity and fun make a given community more desirable, and all of this is achieved with a well designed playground.

Many of us remember how fantastic a playground was when we were young. Contributing now would be in the philosopher’s spirit that, in life, one should “Plant trees under whose shade you do not intend to sit”. Donating today would be a great way to pay it forward.

Donors receive a full income tax receipt for their donation amount over $25, which significantly lowers the after-tax cost of giving.

In order to achieve our goal, we need A sufficient a meaningful collection of donors at the $3,000 or more level, as well as a number of donors at all other levels. All donations are gratefully accepted, whatever amount each donor decides to give.

To donate online, click the Donate button below and complete the intake form AND the Parks Foundation Calgary form. When you click to the Parks Foundation Calgary form, please select Earl Grey Playground from the project list drop-down menu and follow the steps to complete your donation.

To donate by cheque, please click the Donate button below and complete the intake form online. Then drop off or mail your cheque to Earl Grey School at 845 Hillcrest Ave SW, Calgary, Alberta T2T 0Z1. Please make your cheque out to "Parks Foundation Calgary" with Earl Grey Playground written in the memo line. Please include your name, email and street address with your cheque.

All donations of $25 or more will receive a tax receipt, provided a valid email address is submitted with the donation.

All donations will be recognized on our website’s Supporters page and in our project communication as per your direction on the donation intake form.

Donor Levels and Recognition
For your consideration, here are the most common donation amounts to date
Super Supporter • Donations up to $499
Receive a tax receipt for on-line donations $25 and up; and for cheques of $100 and up, plus recognition in project communications and website.
Brick Builder • Donations from $500 to $2,999
Receive a tax receipt, recognition in project communications and website, plus etch your name or message in a brick that will be placed on the school grounds.
Major Donors • Donation Range: $3,000+
Receive a tax receipt, recognition in project communications and website, plus name/company name on a recognition plaque.
Corporate Donors
We welcome corporate contributions. If you are interested in making a corporate donation or if your employer has an employee donation matching programme or other philanthropic initiative, we would be happy to provide more information and assist as needed.
